4 Bathroom Products I Was Influenced to Buy: What I Learned After Using Them

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Vel ut congue varius congue aliquet leo. Netus neque nibh semper in.

I’ve been influenced to buy an unnecessary amount of stuff for my bathroom.

Some of it has been here for years. Some of it made the bathroom nicer or easier to use. And one product eventually annoyed me enough that I removed it completely.

So here are four bathroom products I’ve actually lived with, what mattered after using them, and whether I’d buy them again.

1. Glass Mouthwash Dispenser

Would I buy it again? Yes.

Mouthwash dispenserI’ve had these for about two years, and I still prefer them over keeping the original mouthwash bottles sitting on the counter.

There’s nothing revolutionary happening here. They’re just easier on the eyes, simple to use every day, and they’ve held up well.

For me, that’s enough.

This is one of those purchases that didn’t dramatically improve my life. It just made something I look at every day feel a little less cluttered and more pulled together.

What mattered after two years: they still look good, they’re easy to use, and I haven’t wanted to go back to the original bottles.

Best for: anyone who hates the look of giant branded mouthwash bottles sitting on the bathroom counter.

2. Towel Warmer

Would I buy it again? Yes.

towel warmerI’ve had my towel warmer for about three years; it was originally a Valentine's gift for my husband, and unlike plenty of unnecessary things I’ve bought, I still actually use it.

On colder nights, I use it in the bathroom. I also bring it outside when we use the hot tub, which may be my favorite use for it.

This towel warmer fits around two to three towels, depending on how thick and fluffy they are, and the towels stay warm while they’re inside.

It also has an automatic shut-off with different time settings, which is useful because remembering to turn off the towel warmer should not become another household responsibility.

Every once in a while I’ll even put a Drift air freshener inside for a little extra scent.

What mattered after three years: this turned out to be much more useful than just a cold-weather bathroom luxury because I found another real use for it outside at the hot tub. Is it a bit fancy? Yes. But for the price and how often I use it, I'll take it.

Best for: cold bathrooms, hot tubs, pools, or anyone who has decided a warm towel is now a basic human right.

3. 3-Chamber Shower Soap Dispenser

Would I buy it again? No.

dispenserThis one is interesting because it worked really well at first.

For the first few months, I loved getting the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles out of the shower. It looked cleaner, held plenty of product, and did exactly what I bought it to do.

Then mine started getting clogged.

Then it started making noises.

And eventually using it became annoying enough that I took it down completely.

It’s still a very popular dispenser, so plenty of people clearly have a better experience with it than I did. But based on how mine held up, I wouldn’t buy this particular one again.

What’s annoying is that I still like the idea. I just haven’t found a replacement I trust enough to try yet.

What I’d pay attention to before buying: long-term pump reliability and how well it handles thicker shampoo or conditioner after months of use.

Best for: someone who wants to remove bottles from the shower, but I’d pay much more attention to long-term reliability than I did the first time.

4. Electric Toothbrush Charger

Would I buy it again? Yes, with one caveat.

toothbrushThe exact toothbrush charger I own doesn’t appear to be available anymore, so I’m linking to a similar version.

Mine works perfectly well.

The part I didn’t think about before buying it was how many toothbrushes were going to need the charger.

There’s one charging spot.

My husband and I just take turns, which really isn’t a problem for us. But if you have a larger household, that's worth thinking about before you buy one.

And because this style takes up the top outlet, you can’t necessarily solve the problem by plugging two of them into the same standard outlet.

Tiny detail. Very obvious once you own it. Somehow, I didn't think about this before buying it.

What I’d consider before buying: how many toothbrushes need charging and how much outlet space you actually have.

What Actually Mattered After Using Them

None of these products turned out to be complicated.

What changed my opinion of them were the little things that only became obvious after they had been living in the bathroom for a while.

The mouthwash dispensers worked because they did one simple thing and kept doing it for two years.

The towel warmer earned its spot because I found more ways to use it than I expected.

The shower dispenser did the opposite. I loved the idea, but the longer I owned it, the more the reliability mattered.

And the toothbrush charger reminded me that sometimes the most useful question isn’t “Does it work?”

It’s “How is this actually going to work in my house?”

That’s usually the part I want to know before buying something that looked good online.
